Kian Joo executive director goes to court

[vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]8 May 2014, The Sun Kian Joo Can Factory Bhd executive director Datuk Anthony See Teow Guan has made good on his promise to take Can-One Bhd to court, potentially jeorpadising Aspire Insight Sdn Bhd’s RM1.5 billion bid for the aluminium can maker’s assets and liabilities. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Kian Joo said See is seeking to declare Aspire Insight’s proposed takeover as a related party transaction, on the strength of Kian Joo’s major shareholder Can-One International Sdn Bhd, and Kian Joo managing director Yeoh Jin Hoe’s interest in Aspire, among others.

 

Kian Joo together with the other six defendants were collectively served with a writ of summons and statement of claim on May 7, 2014 by Messrs Benjamin Dawson, the solicitors acting for the plaintiff.
